Educational Visit to Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha by LCIT Department of Legal Studies

The LCIT Department of Legal Studies organized an enriching educational visit to the Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha for its students. The visit aimed to provide students with a practical understanding of the legislative process and the functioning of the state's legislative assembly.

Led by Mr. Manish Sinha, Mr. Shubham Namdeo, and Mrs. Yuvakshi Grover. The visit facilitated an insightful opportunity for the students to witness firsthand the democratic proceedings and governance in action. The students were accompanied by faculty members, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.

During the visit, students had the privilege to:

• Observe Assembly Sessions: Students witnessed live assembly sessions where discussions on various bills, issues of public interest, and policy matters were taking place. This exposure provided them with a deep understanding of the legislative process and the role of elected representatives in decision-making.
• Interact with Legislators: The students had the opportunity to interact with some of the legislators, who generously shared their experiences and insights into the legislative process. This interaction allowed students to gain perspectives from professionals actively engaged in lawmaking and public policy.
• Tour of Vidhan Sabha: A guided tour of the Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha premises was conducted, which included visits to committee rooms, chambers of speakers and ministers, and other significant areas. This gave the students a glimpse into the administrative infrastructure supporting the legislative activities.
• Question-and-Answer Session: A dedicated Q&A session was arranged with experts from the legislative assembly administration. Students could seek clarification on various aspects related to parliamentary procedures, the role of committees, and the overall functioning of the assembly.
• Learning Beyond the Classroom: The visit was an extension of the classroom learning experience, offering students practical insights that complemented their academic knowledge. It fostered a holistic understanding of law, governance, and the democratic process.
